Here's how it works

Six steps, about five minutes. You only do the first two once.

Your email. Tell us your email and we'll send you a link. Nothing is saved until you open it.
Set up. Open the link, choose a password, and tell us your child's first name and age. This is the grown-up's consent, and it only happens once — after that it's just your email and password.
Your character. Draw a picture right here, or snap one you already made — we turn it into a storybook character.
Your story. Say what the story should be about, then pick the reading level and how many pages.
We write it. We write and illustrate it, page by page. Pages appear as they're ready — it takes a minute or two.
Read it. Your child reads out loud while we listen along and help with tricky words — or sit back and let us read it to them.
